Hi There! Thank you so much for visiting my site.

I designed and built Rainforth Retreat Center so that others may enjoy learning together with a variety of teachers that join me in leading retreats. My goal is to offer a place of renewal in an inclusive setting, which includes a diversity of faiths and cultures.  I hope it is a place where people will find unity and a desire to make a difference in the world through peaceful experiences.

Background + EDUCATION

I am a lifelong learner, and enjoy learning from others in both formal and informal settings. I am an ordained ELCA Pastor and a Certified Spiritual Director with a Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, a Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Minnesota and a Master’s Degree of Divinity from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, CA. I’ve also learned so much working in a variety of different professions, such as a therapist, hospice chaplain, ordained pastor, hospital administrator, and business owner.

I’ve attended many retreats far and wide, with one of my most memorable experiences being in Chartres, France where I experienced the Chartres labyrinth, which dates back to medieval times.  My numerous paths have led me to share wisdom and knowledge I’ve gathered in the area of spiritual disciplines with guests I’m hosting at the Rainforth Retreat Center.

LIFE + Spirituality

I lead an active life and find spiritual disciplines such as prayer, formal and informal worship, yoga, meditation, and journaling to be a necessity of life in relation to my spiritual growth.  I share a sacred stillness in restorative surroundings with others who desire to explore their spiritual lives and grow spiritually. I am engaged in activities which allow me to enjoy nature by horseback riding, biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, pedal boating and a variety of other outdoor adventures. Traveling throughout the world helps me to understand the spirituality  of other cultures

My favorite Bible verse is from Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.” My heartfelt prayer is that I am empowered by the Holy Spirit to provide a ministry of presence, which encourages others to experience their authentic self in relation to leading faithful lives journeying with God. I hope to provide a loving environment where people can feel the love of God, self and others and sense spiritual renewal.
